Around the world, many communities are mobilizing to defend their territories against threats posed by extractive industries and industrial agriculture.  These people are often threatened, criminalized, or even killed when they stand up to protect their lands, their livelihoods, and their very existence.

Development & Peace- Caritas Canada stands in solidarity with these peoples.  With our partners, we support communities' efforts to protect their territories and biodiversity for present and future generations.
